Here's a not uncommon sign to be found in the cafe loo....Please only put toilet tissue down the toilet. Really? The only thing is toilet tissue! What about the human waste? May be it's just obvious that there are implicit exceptions to this. Otherwise this sign fails in it's direction each time the loo is used of course.
That "only" word does get mis-used, often due to confusion about scope. In some places this has evolved to be more specific....about not putting nappies and sanitary products going down there.
